Newport City Downtown Renaissance Project

“Community National Bank values the work that is being undertaken by the Newport City Downtown Renaissance Project, and we commit $5000 to the cause this year,” stated Richard White, CEO of Community National Bank. In August, Richard White, CEO of Community National Bank (CNB) and Laura St Onge, Manager of CNB’s branch on Main Street Newport presented a check for $5,000 to Patricia M Sears , Executive Director of Newport City Renaissance Corporation. This contribution was made towards an $11,500 challenge made by Fran Azur who continues to invest in organizations serving his hometown Newport City ’s economic and community development.

The Newport City Renaissance Corporation raised funds to support this year’s Newport Film Festival. On Sunday, September 30^th the Newport Film Festival will wrap up its premiere season with Jay Craven introducing “Where the Rivers Flow North,” and discussing it with the audience after the screening. The film will be shown at the historic Goodrich Memorial Library on Main Street and starts at 11:30am; tickets are $7. For more information call: 334.7902.
